Font Awesome Color choices

I spent a hour changing colors of the font awesome on the Outline, by adding Internet safe colors to the Font file in my custom template. Reading up, I see that it seems that the colors also must be listed in the Color.css of the base or they will disappear. The disappear is by experience. Can someone confirm that I need to name the internet safe colors? Why oh why would Dolphin add an extra step to adding color?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what your situation is...

I guess, when I think of Font Awesome, I think of all the new Icons with 7.1.x

I wanted to add some color to them and this is how I did it---> (See Attached)

I don't know if this helps at ?

Yes, I used the same format, but I used six digit instead of three digit. Mine disappeared after I logged out and then log back in.

Did you have to add the color to the color.css?

Did you have to add the color to the color.css?

No....I had no problems with it...I simply modified the icon.css

You should be able to use 6 digit color convention as well...

Perhaps it is because I replaced the BASE icon.css?

Seems that if 3rd-Party Template has an icon.css, that you should need only modify that???

Not sure why your modifications would revert back. Undecided

Should never touch base.

Any files you need to change should be done in your custom template. Reason you do not change base is because it can be over written with a dolphin update. So you always adjust from your custom template.

Well I have adjusted the Custom Template icons.css once again using 3 digit codes. Not sure why it erased the first endeavour.
