Flooding of Chat Rooms

I am getting so many emails complaining about "flooding" and "spamming" of the chat rooms, it is getting crazy.

I do have a moderator, but she is not always in the chat.

What we really need is a feature that prevents flooding in the chat rooms.  All the top chat scripts have such a feature.

Usually it works by simply having a time limit on how fast someone could post messages.

I'm really hoping Rayz or somebody else might consider writing such a mod.

If there is not a big demand for such a feature, then perhaps I can post it in the job section and somebody can make this for me personally.

I really, really, really need something like this.

Just wondering if there was anybody else out there who might want such a feature.

It'd be a welcomed feature, that's for sure.

Imagine this scenario:

You have a large number of people in your chat.  Everybody is chatting and getting along great.  Then comes some big jerk who hits a single key and enter as fast as he/she can.  This goes on for long periods of time.  Your members try to switch rooms but this jerk follows. He/she is "flooding" the chat and preventing anybody else from having a conversation.  Eventually these members leave the chat, many never to return.

Think this doesn't happen often?  Think again.
