Flash Apps - Question

I notice that in the flash apps admin for chat and comments, I have the ability to use a drop down menu to select a template. The template just says default. How would I add/change templates and make use of this feature?

Here's a download for the latest source files (as of about right now). You'll need Adobe Flash Professional to work with them.

There's a few skins in the Market. You can always have a look around.

Ok, here's another question. I want to make the chat/comments, match the skin my user selects. Is that even possible or am I wasting my time

I'd assume that's controllable via the skins, but I've never messed with that personally (funny, I know).

Edit: I assumed you were talking about the Flash app skin, and not the site template.

That's my problem. I have the uni (which i like btw) and I have a black bg with red accents skin. White comment boxes etc just don't fit well within it Maybe I'll take a peek in the flash aps folder and see how they are handling the template situation. It might be easier than i think

Ok, the way it looks, you need to add the skintemplate.swf file to the respective flash ap, then you can select it via the admin page. There is no template structure. Without that, i don't see how you can connect them to the members template choice. I could be wrong but the way it looks, you're screwed unless you're using only 1 template and you have experience developing flash files

Not possible with the current flash apps.  I've been bitching for xml skinnable flash apps for at least a year, but no one is listening.  I figured it was a reasonable request, since that's the way that just about every comparable flash app on the planet works.  If we could skin them via xml, then various skins could be included in the main site template(s).
