Featured Blog Posts; does it work differently?

I was going to use the featured blog posts to highlight some member's posts, such as you can do with photos.  However, it appears that a member can feature their own blog posts; yet, I don't see this with the photo module.  Why would you allow a member to feature their own blog posts but not feature their own photos?  Consistency, Boonex, consistency.  I will need to go through the database, remove the featured blog posts and then hide the feature button from anyone but an admin; which is how it should have been in the first place.  Consistency, Boonex, consistency.  Everything across the site should work the same.

Yes, historically blogs has different functionality for "featured" feature.

It is marked as featured by owner to show it in featured block on member's blog home.
