Export Members from version 6.0.0003 to 7.1.1

Hi,

Is there a way I can export my member accounts from my old version of dolphin which is 6.0.0003 to 7.1. I really need those accounts to be moved/transferred to my new version of dolphin.

Do you have access to your database?  Are you competent working directly on your database?

 I'll give you a hint... update to 6.1.*

Install D 7.0.0 in a sub-directory, then use the  

• Data migration from Dolphin 6.1.6 version 1.0.0 by Boonex

 Yes I have access to my database and I am competent working directly to my database.

Did you see Newton27's comment?  I think that is important.

Keep in mind it needs to be Dolphin 6.1.6 for the migration module to work.  Then install 7.0.9 (no need for the older versions, 7.0.9 is the last version with the migration module) and run the migration module.  Once that's done, upgrade the 7.0.9 site to 7.1.0 and further.

Thanks Newton27... I already upgraded my old version which is 6.0.0003 to 6.1.6... I am doing the fresh installation of 7.0.9 right now... Am I going into the right path of Data Migration?

You don't need to do the long haul of 7.0 versions to 7.0.9.  You can install a copy of 7.0.9 and run the migration module from that version.

However, you do need to upgrade your site to a copy of 6.1.6 first, and that can take a while.

 Yes Nathan, that's what I did upgrade my old version to 6.1.6. Right now I am almost done with the 7.0.9 installation.
