There IS one video on Vimeo that I really want to embed!
I want to embed that Vimeo video and I'm aware there are mods to purchase on market. However, I have no wish to embed many other video sites.
Are there people willing to teach me how to tweak some files to making the Vimeo embedding possible?
I receive disability benefits as well as indian per capita funds so I have limited resources and have to wait until few weeks before I can purchase more mods so it will be appreciated.

Why don't you just download it from vimeo, then upload it to your site.. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
Not too honest...
Source is important as it holds more credibility and information.

Yes, I posted a forum topic on adding additional iframe to the allowed iframe choices and I removed the Boonex iframe for YouTube because members were reporting it broken.
Back up files first of course.

The way it works is to set up a whitelist of allowed sources

If this is true, you should wait and purchase this > http://www.boonex.com/m/advanced-video-embed-3-0
it's well worth the price, you can embed over 200 types of videos.

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the Video module and upload options, which have nothing to do with HTMLPurifier. Even if it did, admin posts aren't filtered.
All you do sometimes, is cloud and confuse the issue.

It is fairly easy to install, I have the changed files stored for easy copy.
If you can install Dolphin, you should be able to install it.

Well AH, he said he wanted to embed Vimeo video; Vimeo uses an iframe for their embed codes. AH, he did not say where he wanted to embed it. I do know where you should embed it.

Miss AH, Let me give you a lesson in logical deduction. The following statement offers clues:
"I want to embed that Vimeo video and I'm aware there are mods to purchase on market. However, I have no wish to embed many other video sites."
First of all, the OP is most certainly the site admin. Admin can embed whatever admin wants to. Admin posts are not filtered by HTMLpurifier. This is all a pretty good clue that he was not talking about embedding a video in a blog or in a forum post.
The OP then states that he is aware that there are mods to purchase in the market. This statement is another clue. You are welcome to search, but as far as I know, there are zero paid mods in the market that affect HTMLpurifier processing of the embed or object tags, while there is most definitely a mod that adds additional sites to the video uploader embed option.
Considering all these built in clues, any reasonably observant person should have deduced that the OP is talking about the video module uploader. So GG... go grab yourself a big ole glass of stfu, and stop making useless posts, just for the sake of making a post. I suppose you are of the mindset, that if you make enough posts, once in a while you'll be right about something. If that is the case, then fine... keep posting like mad.... the sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while.

Logic, logic, logic....
Isn't it logical to open the door for a wheelchair user? HL, I know you're perfectly a capable man to open the door to the knowledge of coding that makes this possible. You willing to open that door?

Nuke, I'm a person that believes the simplest solution is usually the best. I've already given that one. You didn't like it, so you either use Newts suggestion.... or do without. If the solution were as simple as 'tweaking' some files as you believe, someone would have done it by now, and everyone here would be able to embed whatever videos they wanted to, without purchasing a mod. I don't think anyone is going to spend a lot of time working on a free solution, just so you can embed one single video as you said... especially when here is already a reasonably low cost mod in the market that does the job.
