Can anyone provide me with the default text/html for the "Email notification for all Orca forum posts" please? I am missing the information that I have highlighted that will allow my site to pull this information. Thanks in advance.

I am not finding an exact match for that on my system. But these are the tags for forum topics that are supported in the forum template.
<Recipient> <PosterUrl> <PosterNickName> <TopicTitle> <ReplyText>
The two you are looking for i believe are <TopicTitle> and <ReplyText> but i am not positive. You cannot make them up, and you cannot use tags from other templates. Tags are quite often specific for each template. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Awesome! Lesson learned. Lost the original somehow. I'll ensure I save the originals just in case to make sure I have something to go off of. Tried to test by subscribing to the DEMO, but there aren't any emails for my forum postings after I registered.
Thanks again for the quick response!

The only forum post message that occurs is the one that is sent when a new topic is posted in a forum your subscribed to. The name of the template is Notification about new post in flagged topic and this is the original text.
<bx_include_auto:_email_header.html />
<p>Hello <Recipient>,</p> <p><a href="<PosterUrl>"><PosterNickName></a> has posted a new reply in "<TopicTitle>" topic:</p> <hr> <ReplyText> <hr> <bx_include_auto:_email_footer.html />
There are no other forum post templates. https://www.deanbassett.com |
I've cleared my cache, updated the html code with the one you provided and still no luck for some odd reason. I am actually getting these weird lines. See print screens please. Thanks. www.OEFitness.com: Where Health and Wellness Remain United |
Ah. That's because that is not the original text for that section.
Based on your first screen shot the name of that template is
Email notification for all orca forum posts.
There is no such template in stock dolphin 7.1. This template must belong to a modification that was made to your site.
That was my mistake, i provided you with the code for the only forum template dolphin 7.1 has. And that name of that template is Notification about new post in flagged topic which is not the same based on your screen shot. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Looks like this is the regular "Email Templates" through Settings. I ALSO have Email Template Editor as well as a module. Unfortunately, looks like my email service through previous developer directed it towards the default email service.
