I am very new to Dolphin Software and .PHP, In fact, I have no idea whatsoever what I am doing. I have looked through C-Panel files, I have tried to access all files and when I open them, there is nothing for me to edit. What am I doing wrong? I can write HTML but this has me going in circles, Can anyone PLEASE help me? (I have 1 week to get this site going if not, Im out)
Thanks ahead of time for any help you all offer.

Hi Dolphin has some learning curve before you no all the things Dolphin can do. But What content do you search for. Blogs, Articles, News.? Kids first |
Actually, I want to edit the content on each page to reflect my data. Such as, backgrounds, applets, custom code for various things. I cant even figure out how to create a new page and make it visible on my site.
I want to add or edit another page with affiliate links etc. I looked through all public HTML files and cant edit anything.

1 week? Well you better get busy, there is ALOT to learn. I would suggest starting here (especially community tutorials):

Nothing to see here |
Yup, 1 week, We went with a different company first, I worked from the 6th until 2 days ago building the site, only to find that it had not been up the entire time, then, some dork wad told me to re submit the template, so I did, and bang, no more files, no more nada, it was all gone. I work on this thing from like 645 am to 1 maybe 2 am.
I cant find a document from that link that pertains to my issue.

This is just WONDERFUL!
Now, when I click on the crown to access Admin Panel, it says "Profile not available for view".
Is there anyone else that uses this software as ()*&&*(+^& stupid as I?

Wow !! Over 26.000 members ??? |
It took me about 5 years to figure out the possibilities of Dolphin. Still I don't know them all. But meanwhile I learned a lot about PHP and that sure helps. |
To create pages, this is a good reference: How To Create Pages With Dolphin Page Builder (and check out the link to page2, as well!) Also, get Deano's tools installed, it rocks for a multitude of reasons, & it has a create php page blocks section.
Dolphin is positively a TANGLE of coding: html, css, php. You can have 5 different css sheets describing how one bit of text is handled, easily. If you don't already have firebug on your firefox browser to hunt stuff down? Get it. Or hire someone who is already fluent in Dolphin to do it for you.
I consider myself a moderately skilled novice (I speak html & css fairly fluently and I've built a dozen or so sites using various software) and this is the longest it's taken me to climb a learning curve. I've been working on my Dolphin site for over a month and I'm just now getting it to where I want it and probably 99% of that time has been spent just figuring out how to make the site do things that I need the site to do and look the way I need it to look and searching for where images are and where the specific coding is. The upside is that for the functionality of Dolphin, I think it's worth it.
I'd be interested in knowing if you got it untangled in a week!
