EAccelerator Install

Hello All,

Was wondering if anyone could take the time and walk me through how to install eAccelerator on my VPS server.

I am a total NEWBIE so if you could walk me through step by step I would greatly appreciate it.

My server is a LINUX system running

PHP Version 5.2.14

API CGI

Thanks in advance

If you want to use the new var cache options, you may be better off with APC or Xcache.  eAccelerator droped support for the var caches a version or two back and you will have to use an old version to make it work with all the new Dolphin 7 cache features.

Also, Xcache seams to have the best support for PHP in CGI type setups. The others will work but there are a number of draw backs.

A better place to search would be Google.  You will need to know the server OS / version your VPS is using to find the correct install guide.

Try search for something like: Ubuntu 10.10 howto install PHP eAccelerator
