Downloads

Hi, is there anyway to make the sounds downloadable? For example, is it possible to add a "downloads" function to the action menu?

Sure, it is a file on the server, therefore, it can be downloaded from the server.  Just has to put the code in place to do it.

It should be easy enough with a mod or two... you would almost cirtainly need the advanced  actions module. The some code take the action once it is clicked.... you could also make the sounds into files avaliable on the site so they are avaliable for download (the free way to do it).

The Flash player supports file downloads, but must be enabled first.  Go to Administration -> Modules -> Flash Apps -> Music Player -> Settings and check "Enable files saving".

For the HTML5 player, there's no specific controls to download the file - the best you can do at this time is right-click on the player and select the "Save as" option from your browser.  There's currently a ticket for a download button to be added to the actions menu.

As usual things are much better when "watched" so I made a video showing how to download the mp3's from your websites.

Of course the download feature has to be enabled in the Flash Apps>Sounds
