Dophin versions

I was wondering if Boonex randomly updates Dolphin or is it periodic updates?

Cause I'm on 7.0.9.  I was thinking of updating to 7.1, and then a few weeks later, it's 7.1.1

Now, if dolphin gets updated constantly and at random times, it gets harder to update all the bought modules.

I was thinking if dolphin was a yearly update.  Then getting modules updated for the new version won't be so difficult, and the site could be up and running fully within a matter of days/weeks, rather than months.

Is this feasible?

It just seems like quite a task to ask all the programmers to lump all the modules I've bought into an email and ask for the latest versions.

I've been here since ver 7

They have versions, 5.x.x,6.x.x,7.x.x,8.x.x and so on.

The updates are never set in stone here.

From the market, you will have problems there.

The default modules with the free download will be updated at each beta/update/patch.

Even though the last update was only a point release, 7.0.9 to 7.1; it broke the templates as well as many modules.  Developers had to scramble to get their templates and modules updated to 7.1.x.  The 7.1.1 release was a bug fix release to take care of any bugs since it was decided to release 7.1 to the entire community for testing; which I think was a good idea; it helped to increase the rate of bug fixes in 7.1.  The next point releases should not see as many files involved as in the 7.1 to 7.1.1.  By the way, I did my own updates manually, it is not that hard to do but in 7.1 to 7.1.1 there were database changes that had to be done as well.
