Does anybody know the pros and cons of these two great scripts, I'm really thinking of letting dolphin go and use se instead due to the fact that its soooooo much easier to use meaning members would love it and i dought ill hear people say its confusing like the dolphin script i get people on and then they never come back cuz its too confusing...i have had enough honestly and i got so many modules for entertainment so its keeps some coming back for that reason but the others..nope they never come back i got about 6,000 members and maybe 100 still use my site...it sucks......any suggestions guys? Damn i can't wait for Dolphin10 to be released, Its gonna be awesome :) |
Do you have an affiliate account with SE or something? I don't think you'll spark much interest in SE on this site..... even with all that bold type. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |

I wonder why. I am new to Dolphin and have purchased and my site is already hosted. Looking at SE, it looks pretty good. But obviously there are things I am not aware. Just visited them and seems pretty decent.
Enlighten me as you are much more experienced and knowledgeable then I. Thanks houstonlively.

I will be honest, I know SE seems more appealing than Dolphin but there isn't much you can do with SE as you would with Dolphin. I know of many sites that used SE and to be honest the interface seems simple but very boring. There isn't much to it, but to each own. I know people who say SE doesn't attract them or when sign up they get bored very easily. Dolphin may seem hard to some but trust me give it time and it will catch on. What's that falling? its a bird, its a plane, oh wait its Facebook |
I think it's safe to assume that if your site is failing with Dolphin, it'll fail with SocialEngine, too. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

I absolutely agree with that statement. I am not sure about anyone else, but I never decide success or failure based on the software, but I am studying reliability, support, stability, security, features, flexibility, future growth, modules or plug-ins that make your site, ease of setup, ease of use by member, upgrades, history of company, future direction, costs etc etc
Cheap s not always the best and spending more does not guarantee a sold product. Since I am new I have no biases, but I am willing to learn and use the "best" system availability. One of the main reasons for me to choose Dolphin (I had not heard of SE before) was the vast forum activity. Any software that has a healthy and vibrant forum is headed in the right direction.
I am very serious about my business model, so i do not want to end up with an inferior product which chases away my members. A software that cannot handle growth is not healthy for any site.
Thanks for feedback.
