Dolphin must have Share/Retweet type function

Dolphin must have Share/Retweet/Reblog type function, cause with out  this function users always have to relay on external site like facebook, twitter, google+ etc to share stuff with their friends. Or they have to do it manually in by copying the link and sending them to their friends within dolphin site. So due to this drawback they prefer going back to facebook, twitter, google+ etc . So without this function dolphin websites depend on other websites. Have any 1 ever thought about it or worked on it to find solution ?

On the Tweeter part; I have seen several modules in the market for displaying tweets but none that would allow an automatic tweet when a member writes a blog post.  I asked for someone to code this and no one seemed interested; they only appear interested in the other end of things.

The CMS I help with has this automatic send tweet when a member blogs so I may see if I can adapt that to Dolphin and add a field to profiles for a person to enter their tweet stuff.

Agree with moonsoon2u. I manually added a Facebook like button right next to the stars under photos and videos, and my traffic went flying up.  

I did the same with a pinterest button this week which is a bit of a hit and miss because images don't always get forwarded. Still testing that.

 i am talking about something else, making dolhpin an independent website where it have its own internal share function, but the changes you made are also gud for external share. i think you just need to copy the code from recommend function and paste them next to star rating. Soon  i am also going to do it. Lets see if it works. :)

there was a mod for 7.0.9 which sadly doesn't work with 7.1.4 (i posted about this only yesterday in the hope that someone else had it and had managed to get it working, but unfortunately got no answers), it (automatically, or manually with the click of a button) shared everything members did on your site with, Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin, it was a fantastic mod, if only we could get it working with 7.1.4, surely there must be 1 genius out there :)

I agree. There are lots of ways to make your site integrate / repost / retweet to other social networks...

What we could really do with though is something developed that displays the 'dolphin version' of the 'like' button.

When you click it, it re-posts the content to your own timeline, also posts a notice to others timelines who are following you etc..

Otherwise, D will always be relying on external SNs for viral posting.

It's a nice thought to have this function, would be great if we could easily 're-skin' it as in rename the function and change icon easily!

Dont think that the thread creator "moonsoon2u" really want to post content to other social networks. He just want a timeline system like it is existing at FB or Twitter that supports sharing/retweeting content of other members ...

yes a code which will copy the link of e.g pic and a light box open where the thumbnail of the pic will appear and the bottom of lightbox it will ask the users to post/share/retweet/reblog etc . By clicking it will directly post to your Timeline and will also appear in your friends Feedline ( my term for other people updates ). I think it can be done. Ill do some research on it but i can't make it as module :/ just as a script may be.
