Dolphin and Windows 8.1

I have a member that can not get the site to load with Windows 8.1.  He booted up an old computer and could get on the site.  I don't know what could be about Windows 8.1.  My first thought was maybe he was using the latest IE on Windows 8.1.  However, he said he downloaded Chrome and it was the same, site loads very slowly or just hangs when loading.  What could be the cause of this issue?  I don't have Window 8.1 to test.

i have used 8, 8.1 preview, and 8.1 official release, and all display dolphin sites. Can't think of anything except for firewalls that may be blocking his ports or something. HAve them try turning firewall off completely and see if site comes up. I may be totally wrong, but that is all I can think of.

I am guessing you mean the built-in Windows firewall.

I strongly believe that the issue is not related to the operating system as Dolphin has been running flawlessly on multiple operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows 8, Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora,  android, OSX and many others. 

You mentioned that the site is loading, but slowly. This can be caused by multiple reasons - for example internet connection, resource usage of the computer from which the site is being accessed and others. I assume that the computer is not infected with any type of malware that may affect online operations.

The person stated that our site is not up to Windows 8.1 usage.  He claims he has seen a couple of other sites that loads slowly only on Windows 8.1.  Why it would load slowing on Windows 8.1 and not load slowly on, say Windows 7, I don't know.

maybe it's the 8 million things going on in the background for all those fancy tiles and whatnot, on a pc that really can't handle windows 8?

Windows 8 handles mobile pages differently and there's a known bug that causes the page to not size properly. Just thought I'd add that as I have a windows phone...
