Dolphin Translation questions

Hi, i am trying to make a greek translation of dolphin and i want to make some questions.

A.

In installation instruction of a language, i did not get step 3. As you have unzipped the files, why and what exactly you have to copy?

B.Is there any command or any way, that you can be helped creating all these folders and files in the zip? i Have made the el.php files in the same folder with en.php, and now i want to make the zip file with only el.php files

C. If I see ????????? instead of greek characters, why is that? Is anything else that i should keep in mind as i have to deal with greek characters?

D. If i make a traslation and then a new ver. is coming, if i keep the old el.php will i have crash or no translation in some sections?

hi, i still have not find anwers in my questions, although i have searched the forum. Can somebody help, please?

In order of your questions:

1. If you look at step six, you'll see a directory structure where your language file should be placed. That step you quoted assumes you created a ZIP file of your translation with the directory structure provided. This would mean that if your translation files were to located in modules/boonex/forum/install/langs/el.php and also in modules/boonex/forum/integrations/base/langs.el.php, you would create all the directories leading up to these in your ZIP file. This would allow you to unzip the files at the root directory of your installation and have them be automatically placed in the needed directories. You can also place the language files in the needed directories manually if you desire.
2. If you wish to have your ZIP file follow the directory structure of the script, you must create all these directories on your own. You will only need to create the directories leading up to the one where the files will be placed. if you have access to the command line, you can quickly create all the needed directories.
3. In which place are you referring to this occurring?
4. It is recommended that you backup all custom languages before updating to a new version, or else they may be overwritten. I'm not sure if this applies to third party languages, but I like to play it safe.

4. What i mean here is that. I am not talking about the process of installing. Lets say that you have done backup, but then you choose to put the el.php files of the previous version. Will this couse problems or just some new sections that are not going to be translated, will be presented in English? I dont know if you got me?

1. If you can, please post the translated section for those navigation menu entries that's causing this to happen (just one of the affected entries will do).
2. You should not run into any serious issues, though you may have to update the file in case any new language keys were added (unlikely).
