Dolphin Collaboration Site...

I posted about something similar a long time ago and had some interest, but was not the right time for anyone to get involved.

I would be interested in a 'side project' to work with maybe a couple of  others on a joint site as an experiment.

It would be interesting if say 2-3 of us were to work together on a site if we could get it to a point of generating users and income easier by sharing the work load.

Ideally, each person in the 'team' would bring varying and complimentary skills to the table and a few spare hours a week to give to the project. Might be a low cost or no cost way to build something up that could bring something in...

I propose a simple 'chat' type network, some fun elements, bit of an alternative hangout for those who get bored with facebook :-)

Once a good user base starts to build up, then add some 'premium' features that will further increase users, and also hopefully bring in a little cash.

See where it can go...

I have a bunch of skills and experience with Dolphin as well as other site, own half the market already (mods), have my own dedicated servers built up for dolphin and could at least give a few hours a week.

Anyone else interested???

If so, shoot me a message, would be good to give a quick bit of info on what you would bring to the site also and we can see how to take anything forwards from there!

Could be fun, you never know what could come from it. If nothing, then it would only be a few hours a week lost for a short term anyway...

There is already a colaborative project underway... I have supplied the custom software and the dolphin license, Underdog  is working on the design, css, template front of things. We will probably be looking for someone to help host the site (server stuff), someone that can custom code and someone that knows enough SEO to get us to page 1.

I didnt have the time to do this alone, so Underdog and I joined up on it.Everyone involved will need to be involved in promotion etc too.... Shares will be devided equally amongst all contributors, and if the site does make a profit it will be encorporated and shared devided as they are at the beginning....

It is a very simple concept for a site....

What we are working on is quite awsome.... Will it work? no one knows... Its a punt, but a punt with a good chance... If anyone can bring the required skills please contacts us and if we like what you can bring to the table we will then fill you in on the details......

If not, then we will find a way to do it as a smaller team....

I still have a site I built a few years ago as a klnd of "independent Dolphin users group" for this community - some of you are members.   It never gained traction but that is probably my fault, and though in 7.0 it was pretty well set up.   Anyone what to jump in an provide some "leadership" is welcome - it was not intended to make money.  

This sounds like a different proposal - or proposals, and I don't see the uniqueness except to get people here working together which I do think should happen more.   Aren't a lot of people here working in similar ideas?
