Does anyone here is using LIVE STREAM on Dolphin website?

I'm talking about Video live stream.

What does it take to have a live stream for lets say 30-50 members? Can Dolphin support this or is it a server issue.

I think its a great tool to develop traffic.

Well....is it a "no comment" thing? or there's no such thing yet.

It's a great question and really I don't think it would have a much to do with bandwidth as you would be using the services band width I do think.  I could be wrong but I would think this would be an AP many people would buy if they only saw it in action...........I would buy it the second it came out................

I guess it could be iframed but not sure if that would work for the way yo want to use it.......................The individuality of it makes it so appealing..............................

I would definitely buy it too.

I'm thinking of inviting people to talk about education, business or health issues on a live stream where my members can watch it. I think its one of the best tools to attract attention of people and develop much more traffic on my website. Any website.

It would be great also for groups mod where you can schedule a live show for a certain group. haha just like having a tiny TV channel.

Endless on what could be done

live stream is not necessarily a dolphin issue per se' that is a server issue. so where the script set on the correctly configured server environment, should be able to handle its own. but trying to run 50-60 live streams from 1.65GHz 512MB RAM, is like stuffing the Texas LongHorn team into a VW Beetle Something is gonna break.

There are plenty of livestream services out there that will just embed into dolphin.

You just have to be creative about how you structure the dolphin script around the embed page to get it to do what you want.

Your uplink is then the issue, hardware, software and bandwidth all effect the quality of signal.

The stream itself though would be generated by the service provider, this varies depending on what sort of package they would offer.

mostly, the more viewers you want, the more you pay.

I t would be better to create the app using Flex this way there is absolutly no usage of server resorces because with the new flex technology resorces are taken from the end users PC also with flex there is no external server required so no RMS ect

So you're saying I can just buy a package or service and implement it into Dolphin. Sounds good.

I'll probably need to hire someone to create the right conditions on my server and with the software but I'm encouraged to know that IT IS POSSIBLE!!! and not something far away from real.

Thanks.

Sounds interesting. I'll check it out on the net to learn more about it.

Thank you.

@yuval,

The quickest and pain free. And FREE way is to use companies like livestream, sticKam, and many others. Even monetizemedia.com. Check Out I did it on my site integrated into dolphin.http://mundybuddy.com/page/mundytv. Pretty easy make a html block from the menu builder>page blocks. Add Html block. double click the name of the block (very important  if you one click it thinks you want to write content and the page editor will come up) Paste in embed code in the html section.

 Hey mundy!

Its pretty cool what you got there. You even got the chat to go with it which is great. I like it.

What about streaming my own show? Let's say one of my members is a sales training dude who wants to train my members on how to sell better. How can I stream his webcam or mine to reach the other members. The video chat is nice but its limited to 3-10 guys.

Another example: lets say I have a movie that I want to play next monday on 7pm and enable each member to log into my website and see this movie and I want to play it live in order to attract audience to my website.

How do I do that?

Hey This link http://mundybuddy.com/page/mundytv appears to be Broken,

I'm new to this community but cant tell you how Dolphin has answered many of my queries by its awesome features as a one stop shop.

I'm Trying to do the same thing, Can someone suggest if it is viable to use Video Chat within Dolphin7 for Education thru webinars or do I have to subscribe for something like Flashcoms.com for it for more than 10 users subscribing for Virtual classrooms Simultaneously. Also please suggest ways to configure Dolphin to work Like Wiziq.com. Free and Paid Classes for students(for 100s of parallel Sessions),

Can the Video Chat feature in Dolphin do that ?

How to modify the video Conferencing feature within Dolphin to Support File /Desktop/URL Sharing/Raise Hand Features?

Will be happy to contract hire someone if they can configure it for me. I intend to use Red5 or is wowza better if high streaming is supported by either? Appreciate your thoughts or help on this.

I use livestream all the time the site is served almost completly by livestream or mogulous. It will not drain your system resouces at all. Except for the pages being served.

I just called LiveStream.com and they said you can have your own stream embeded on my site but its starts at $300 per month. Is anyone using a cheaper service?

Not as nice as something like Livestream or Netflix, but Rayz does have something for this.

Nathan, how is the resolution and quality on Rayz mod? I'll need to find someone here who has it and uses it.

I use webcamXP to serve images, IP address streams, live video from any source. Several formats, java, mjpeg, Windows Media and flash.

There is a free demo version to test, it has it's own built in video streamer/server. Its what I use for the Florida webcam streams. The image quality is slider adjustable. It allows to embed the stream where ever you need.  The duvallocals.info site is using it, a laptop serves the stream/server. It can handle 50-200 guest  for sure (this tropical storm and the hurricanes keep it very busy, everyone wants to see storms in action lol..), it is not part of my Dolphin or my RMS server;

I have included a demo of the version I use.

I have used this program for eight years now, I can help with any setup.

You have a very nice set up there newton!

What I'm looking for is a good quality multiple video chat for lets say....20-50 users where they can all participate in a discussion on my website. I have seen something like that in action and you can use it to create live events on your site like private teaching online in groups, cooking sessions for who ever wants to learn how to cook, sales training online and more...

Btw, what mod do you use for the translations on your website. Its pretty good.
