Display latest pages/groups on the outline.

Hi,

All my groups/pages are set to members only, I will never use the public status.

But, when set to members, it won't show on the outline.

Is there a way?

It works for me, and it works on demo.boonex.com

What is it that you expect to see on this page if the viewing is set to 'Member'?

Yeah, I'll have to use the link to recent instead of to the home. Because there is no recent items -all minus private- (instead of recent public) block

I'll look into adding the Recent block to the home.

isn't it already included? Admin - Modules - Artists -> Settings -> Default Artists block tab on homepage (Featured/Recent/Top/Popular)

I believe that's intended for the site home page, and that selector doesn't seem to do anything.  We were talking about the block on the module home page.

EDIT: I take that back.  The selector does work on the site home, but ONLY if the group/page/artist/outhouse/henhouse/ or whatever is viewable to the public.  It's a bug that traces back to the group module,  I'll investigate it more then write a ticket on it.

The other thing is that if I set to public and give no rights to the non registered user. (Which is my idea for the website: Everything is private)

It will show the following for the non registered user: see attachment

lol - HL put in a ticket 4 years ago, and it still has not been gotten to. I really hope they do get around to removing those items that are private. It just looks ugly.

Well, they'll have no excuse not to work on the above ticket.  It's a different issue altogether because there is no service method included in the groups module to get group content other than public.  That's fine for sites with public content, but if a site has no public content, you have no built in method to show any of it in a homepage block.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that a resolution to your ticket will also be a resolution to the private item display. That would be real nice.

so, in order to show to members the latest pages I changed the menu link to /browse/recent and all the latest items are displayed, both the ones set to members only or public.

And by default there is only that block on the page, and when I go to pages builder there is no way to "work" on that page.

Any idea?

Yeah... I think I'll write a trac ticket.    No wait.... I already did that.
