Disable Reply Feature

Can anyone tell me how to  "disable" or "delete" the reply feature on comments?

I want members to be able to comment, but do not want members to be able to "reply" to comments.

I am using Dolphin 7.03

Unless there is a way for members to get notified that a reply to their comment has been left, what is the point of replies?

I would appreciate either ....

How to disable / delete the ability to reply

or

How to get notified of replies.

not the greatest hack in the world, but here is what i was able to come up with. templates/base/css/cmts.css on or about line 305

font-size:10px;

change to         font-size: 0px; /* hacked reply text to no font size */
basically what you see i have done is set the font size to 0px and that makes it invisible, other than that you gotta find the jscript calls for it.

I have not found one either, but I did find a way to "hide" the link that says "Reply" under all the comments.

From Admin Panel .... Language Keys

Search for  "Reply"

Edit "Reply (System)"

Removed the word Reply from string text (leave it blank)

Save.

This can be easily undone later by Repeating the steps and adding the word "Reply"

Worked great on my site.  Hope this helps anyone else who wants to "remove the feature"
