Default Album name: Hidden - What does this do?

Advanced Settings->General-> Default Album name

This is set as "Hidden" what does this do and what are the different options one can set?

This is just a name for the Album; you can put whatever you like here; it is not a setting in the sense that it does something.  When members join and the default profile photo album is created, it will take on this name.  On my site I left that the default of {nickname}'s photos.  In this case, it will insert the member's nickname concatenated with "'s photos" to produce, as an example, Suzy's photos.

OK, wait, I was thinking of the settings under the photo module.  Let me go see your location.

In that location I have "Album".  Now albums are for files, photos, videos, etc.; they can all be in albums which is a container; a box if you will.  Privacy settings are placed on this box and it determines who can see the contents of this box.

However, I am not clear on the nature of this setting either; I have not paid it any attention up till now.  If I go to photos, as an example, and click on create new album, entering a title for the album is mandatory.
