Database Query Error After Join Submit Button

Hi Everyone,

New members are emailing me saying that they are receiveing a "database query error" message after the enter information on the join form and click join.

Can anyone advise on this?

Not without seeing the error, no.

Check your bug report email address. The full error should have been set there.

If you have a moment can you try to join my site?  It is located at:

for alliance name just make up one and for alliance code just make up a 6 character code numbers and letters.

Everything was working ok until I changed some of the join questions so maybe this caused it.  Perhaps you can advise.

Yes, and it just shows a red box with the words Database Query Error which unfortunatly does not provide any info.

When installing dolphin you were asked for a bug report email address. This is the email address dolphin sends bug reports to. This includes database errors.

To assist further we need to see the error message sent to that email address. Everything above the Debug Trace line. Do not include any info below that line.

I'm sorry to do this but here is the database query file: Perhaps you can look at it for me. Thank you. I am hosted on the Arvixe servers and dolphin was already installed.

Attached it the query that the hosting company obtained.

When you modified the join form, did you make any changes to the nickname and password entries.

Reason i suspect it is becuse the database error is for duplicate entry. But the Nickname field in the query is empty .

Yes I did but just to the "NICKNAME" Field not the password field.  I created a "WorldWarName" field to replace the "NICKNAME" one and moved it to the inactive blocks area. Is it still showing as an active field to be completed?

Looks like in 3 instances something is not compiled correctly:  WorldWarName, AllianceCode, and PhoneModel.

Thats more than likely the reason. The nickname is a required field. Dolphin needs it intact to preform logons. Thats why the field is blank becuse it is inactive and that is most likley what is causeing the problem.

Instead, you need to put it back. And you can alter the language so it says something besides nickname, but the nickname field itself must be there.

I did put the NickNAme blovk back and the join page is working fine now.

Im having  the same problem but these solutions are not working for me. I do not receive bug emails and I do not receive entries in error log.  I have added about 40 additional join fields, but it appears from looking at the front end of the join, form that everything has compiled correctly.

I still get get the red error box that says:

When trying to join directly after clicking submit is when this happens.

What else can I look at?
