Database Connect Error

Hello,

I am running D7.04 and my site will not pull up anymore. I receive the following error message:

Error
Database connect failed

Fatal error: Call to a member function getParam() on a non-object in /home/youcompl/public_html/inc/db.inc.php on line 83

Any ideas on a possible fix?

I already tried restoring a saved version of the database.

I think there two ways got this error:
1. Your mysql server was overloaded with requests. (You'll need increase some of  mysql params. Make a search here about it!)

2. You have changed access to your mysql data base, but your dolphin still use the old data access.

PS: If possible do not write me personally, please try to ask on the forum first

@SashaE

It may be the latter choice that is affected my site:

(2. You have changed access to your mysql data base, but your dolphin still use the old data access)

Because I do remember changing the password. How do I fix please?

You can generate new db password in your cpanel. Than open the inc/header.inc.php and insert your new db user and password there

@Angel245 did you get this error fixed, if so how did you fix it?

I did get the issue fixed. I had to update the new db password in the inc/header.inc.php file.
