Custom Login and Logout buttons

Hi, I want to put custom login and logout buttons on header of my site. I know that isLogged() helps to check whether member is logged in or not? I want to show either button based on login status. Where can I put php  code for this? Please help.

post a screen shot so we can see exactly where you want it. there are a couple of files you could insert this in....please take the time to do a  link to it...no one wants to download a little image lol
