Cron job error

Hi,

Maybe someone know how to fix this error im keep getting this:

does anyone know why ? i spoke to the hosting company and they say its working and its connecting so i don't know why i keep getting this im running 7.1.4 i hope i can fix that problem im keep getting it non stop

Are these sporadic or once a minute all day and night? It's saying the site can't connect to the database. If they're sporadic it's a problem with the host's database server.

its like sporadic. here and there i would say like 99% of the time it would be late night

That's the hosts database server going down and the site can't connect to it. There's nothing you can really do on your end, the host will have to figure out what's going on in the middle of the night.

thanks mscott, ill have a talk with them again they say its all fine i guess they going to have to look in to it again and see what it does it .. let me ask u other question the corn job as to be every 1 min or i can change it with out having the site crash or something ?

You're welcome. The site won't crash, but some of the things that rely on it might take more time or not work at all. For example video and music uploads won't start processing until the next time the cron runs. The only thing I know for a fact that won't work correctly if it isn't set to once a minute is the mass mailer.
