you can contact your hosting company if you are on shared and they can give you the path to the php binary....
you can also look in your PHPINFO() and find it in there as well..... now some machines want the cd some dont, but one thing for sure, is you have to get on the path of the php binary..

I imagine your new one isn't working because that's not the path to your PHP binary. I suggest you take a gander at this topic: http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/Troubleshooting-Crons-Videos-Migrations-RMS.htm.
Edit: Hello, DosDawg.

I would suggest trying this:
/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/content/23/2345675/html/periodic/cron.php
You can refer to my Wiki tutorial here:

EDIT: WOW 3 responses instantly.. haha

i still think he should ask his hosting service provider for the correct path to cron. i know the other day i was on a machine and it had the most strange path to php, and it was very far from the norm.
similar to an account i moved the other day from x host to y host..... backups were disabled, hence rendering xml-api an integral part of whm/cpanel useless.
and i think that these hosts are moving these binaries, because they are trying to use php4 still..... oh well
I would suggest trying this:
/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/content/23/2345675/html/periodic/cron.php

Thank's guy for the reply
I get this path when I browse for the cron.php by hosting tool
I ask my hosting about this and they send me this

Do you guys see something worng on the new one or is fine
another question do any to remove the " "
or this is normal for a cron job
Thank's

I personally have never seen " " in a cron command. So even using what you stated below, I would think it would look like this:
/web/cgi-bin/php5 -q /home/content/55/7007955/html/periodic/cron.php
Of course your host would know where the php command was (/web/cgi-bin/php5) better than us :)

Thank's Zarcon
I will try your command

You should check with godaddy on server settings as I have seen many people with godaddy hosting having issues with script/settings and such |
Try this,
/web/cgi-bin/php $HOME/html/periodic/cron.php
|
i'm gettings emails from my cron job
No input file specified.
is this normal or my cron job is working or not working
Thank's

Do you have GoDaddy as your hosting? Is it Shared Hosting? I have read in previous posts that GoDaddy doesnt allow ffmpeg to be ran in a Shared Hosting environment. Im not sure about this, but if this is true, then it will not matter if your cron is setup properly or not.. you will not get your videos to convert. Nothing to see here |
before I switch to godaddy I send the link for the Dolphin Hosting Requirements
and they say the dolphin will be runing fine on godaddy but if I want to stream video chat
I need a dedicate server and I tell them I don't need no live stream video chat
only to upload photos, music and videos and they say the Ultimate Plan Grid will be fine for me

You love going to all the wrong hosting providers, don't you? I think Prolaznik is also on GoDaddy. He might be able to shed some light on the situation.

You're right. It's yours. Have you tried contacting GoDaddy's support department for this to see what they have to say?
