I have received several reports from the UK that people are blocked from joining or logging into the site. I have looked through the IP Black List and the DNS Blocklist but can not find any denials that would block the UK. Where else could such a block be stored? |
check your htaccess file (Dolphin root).

There are none so blind as those that will not see. |
Yes, I have checked the .htaccess file in the public_html folder but there are no "deny" statements there. |
Do you have access to your server's firewall; you could be blocking them at your firewall. Geeks, making the world a better place |
The host guys say that there is no firewall block so I thought that it must be an application block.
It's really weird because after we created the account manually the UK member received the following message whenever they tried to login, "Error! Your username or password was incorrect. Please try again"
|
That is not an IP ban message. It is saying the user name or password is incorrect. Here is a test you can do. Log into your site using a UK proxy server and see if you can log in without issues. If so, then you know the UK can log in; you can try a few different UK proxies to test for a range of IPs. Geeks, making the world a better place |
Thanks Geek Girl, I've asked the member to login from Australia. We'll see what happens. |
