As I stated before, I am new to web design. So, with that, I have another situation that I have encountered.
While speaking with my employer, she asked about page rankings and switching from domain to new domain.
So my first question is this - for seo, should i upload all files to existing domain, or can i leave it where it is at and use 301 redirects for pages that are linked from outside sources?
My original thought was to get everything up and running on new site on new domain. Once all was done and I made sure everything was functioning properly, i was going to just 301 redirect the domain from old to new. But my employer called and informed me that there are several links that she has created on other sites and articles and such, so I am guessing that we would have to do 301 redirects for those pages. Second Question - How will this affect our page rankings in google?
