Complete list of permissions by chmod?

I have found that the HELP on installation is outdated.  Some entries are missing and some need to be removed; the shell will return directory not found.  I have come across modules yelling at me that permissions are not correct for installing the module.

Does anyone have a list of chmod commands for setting the proper permissions that is updated for 7.1.4?

 That has been that way since the release of 7.1.x, it is funny how they have not fixed them;

like the Profiler log and more...

I am sure someone has a set of these updated and complete for pasting into the command line.

To the best of my knowledge, the permissions on that page are correct.  Please note that there are permissions for individual modules at the bottom of the page.  For outdated entries, those are for 7.0.9 and lower - it doesn't have any negative impact to run chmod against a non-existent file or directory.

Would it hurt Andrew to update them for 7.1.4?  Yes, I know the shell yelling at me about missing directories does not have a negative impact but they should be removed.  Also, they should be checked and made sure they apply to 7.1.4.  Someone paying $800.00 for a license should not have such things happening.

So Boonex is not going to do it; did I have my expectations set too high? ;-).

These are a couple files I created that I use to setup All Permissions for the Initial Dolphin Installation and Module Installs.

One has all the Permissions as set with FTP and the other you can use in SSH Shell, which is probably the better one as it does it all in one shot.

That document includes all the permissions for 7.1.4 that I can see - what's missing?.  Yes, it includes outdated entries for 7.0.9 and below, but that doesn't cause a problem - and it may help some people who still use older versions.  Would a note after the permission lists about missing files and directories be better?

Nathan is right. This instructions are good for both 7.0.x and 7.1.x versions. There is no problem with this script and it updates all necessary files and directories in both Dolphin versions.

 Perhaps that should be stated in the documentation. New members are confused when running chmod on a server for the first time, we are not all seasoned here.

It makes one doubt themselves on the install; but more on thinking that the install directions are flawed.

NO.  The official release of Dolphin for download is 7.1.4.  Even if most of the instructions are the same, it is time the instructions were updated for 7.1.4.  Since most of it will still apply, what is the problem updating?  If Boonex will pay me I will be glad to go through it.  Andrew, you have outdated instructions don't you think they should be updated for your current release?  $800.00 for a Prime license and I get OUTDATED instructions?  Shouldn't be that difficult of a job.  How long has 7.1 been out with the the instructions still 7.0.9?  If Boonex is a business, this is a bad thing to have sitting on the site.

For the love of Karma Chameleon, the instructions are up-to-date and support both 7.0 and 7.1.  I'll accept that there should probably be a note about any inconsistencies - but there are far more important things we could be focusing on, like the lack of extensive module documentation.  This article is fine.
