Comment link not working in Timeline

I have found that users are not able to post comments on another users Timeline. There is a link to Comment, but the link does not go anywhere. When I hover over the link the destination reads "javascript void(0)". I found that if they click the Timeline link in the top menu of the user's profile, which opens Timeline in a new window, then the Comment link works. But many users may not know to do this.

HOW can I get the comment link to work in the Timeline on the users Profile page??

That might be template related.

Try switching to the UNI or ALT template and try.

And your Boonex popup is still in the footer, [edit] using that template.

When I switch to ALT template on your site, the popup is correct in format. It's hidden by your social popup's but it is correct position and floats.

Switching to your default template, the pop up is located in the footer somehow which is not correct.

So there maybe other issues with the template like the timeline problem. Contact the template designer and show him the included photo.

I did check this in the other templates. Still does not work.

I know you keep pointing out that the Boonex popup is in the footer and that my template might not be up to date. My current template is the only one I can find that fits my site style. The UNI and ALT templates are very plain. They don't fit my site's style. I would gladly switch to a newer template if there was one similar to the dark theme I currently use. But I cannot sacrifice my site's style to change location of the Boonex popup!

If there was an easy way I can modify the UNI template to make it look similar to the template I use now (change background and add my header design), then I would be fine with that. I actually like the content box areas in the UNI template better than in my current, but the plain blue background with no header will NOT work for my site.

This Comment link issue is the "link" not being pointed anywhere. I need to find where I can edit the link, then direct it to the correct place (add comment form). Like I said, it works when I click Timeline in the users profile menu, which opens a new page containing the Timeline. The comment link works then. So the issue is only with the Commnet link in the Timeline box INSIDE the users main Profile page.

I totally understand. I really didn't know if you caught that the last time. sorry.

I experienced that myself when I went from 7.0.x to 7.1, I think I did something wrong in my upgrades back then.

I have also experienced the error your getting and it turned out to be my template.

The reason for bringing it up, the template might need updating and thought your template vendor would fix that footer issue, if there is one problem there could be others.. just sayin.

I hope you can figure it out cause I never could, my template creator was Deartmedia then and has been banished to the moon as Nathan Patton used to say; so my template was always broke and making me go crazy.

BTW I like your template a lot.

I hope you can get it resolved.
