Code needed - allow user to select album during upload of content

Has anyone implemented a solution that allows the end-user to select the album that they want a photo to appear in while uploading it?  I've found that the requiring the end-user to select an album first & then uploading content to be cumbersome.  Rather, I'd like for them to choose the album during the upload process.  Has anyone implemented this?
