Classified Ads

I'm trying to set up ads on my site. I'm having trouble linking the ads with the actual site they are representing. It seems I can only get internal links and no links to the advertised site. I noticed that on some sites the ad links to classifieds.php?ShowAdvertisementID=

But I don't see how this is done. Can anyone help me?

Don't understand what you want :( Can you explain you needed more clearly?

Maybe a question here could help clarify my problem.

Can the ads module be used by paid advertisers, such as affiliates, or are they simply to permit members to list their own items such as classifieds in the newspaper?

its more on the level of classified ads.

Thanks, Dawg, that's what I was finally getting to understand.

But I still have a problem with showing the ad description after an ad is posted.  For some reason, the description is visible after entering it, but when a viewer clicks on Ads, the description is no longer visible.

are you running a uni template ? has the text colour been set to the same colour as the back ground ?

I am currently in the process of transferring my site to a new host with Dolphin experience. Hopefully this will resolve my problems.

I'm still unable to get a working ads feature on my site. Here's what happens.

An ad is posted. It appears on the Ads page. Clicking on the ad image or the default link takes you to the Internal page that represents the item. But that page is blank. No image, no description, no link.

There is no way to add an external hyper link at any step of the ad process. Posting that type of link in the description is no good since the description disappears.

I have seen other Dolphin sites that use a page called "Classifieds", but my site does not do this. I can't find any modules of that type.
