If so, make sure the RMS server is up. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
You are absolutely right, the server is down, any Idea in how to get it back up without having to deal with my hosting company, thank you in advance |
You are absolutely right, the server is down, any Idea in how to get it back up without having to deal with my hosting company, thank you in advance If the RMS server is hosted on a VPS or dedicated that you control, you can SSH in and restart it. If not, you need to contact whoever runs it. If you do have access... Search for the current server process with:
# ps aux | grep red5
and look for a result like this: root 39515 0.1 0.7 8567580 114236 [etc...]
The string of numbers after the user (root) is the process ID. Now kill the process with:
# kill [process ID]
Then restart the RMS server by changing to the directory where RMS is installed (for example):
# cd /opt/rms
And then relaunch the daemon:
# ./run_daemon.sh
Give it a few moments, then check the connection. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

Hello Mr Paton, I know that you are a busy person; and I am really sorry about giving you a headache, but I really need your help once more. I did what you told me to, I also contacted my hosting provider and I had them to take a closer look to the situation and according to them the RMS server is up and running, but somehow the Chat section on my site is no opening at all, could you please think of any other solution to my issue, I highly appreciate any help you can provide to me, thank you in advance. |

Go to $rmsIP:5080 - is there a Red5 page?
Make sure the RMS server has your domain whitelisted. Also try turning RMS off and on in the Flash Apps settings. Sometimes that kicks things into action. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |

Just PM me the access information for RMS and Dolphin. No need to pay for installation if there's already an RMS server.
