I recently had my site updated to 7.0.4 and for some reason, my chat still doesnt work. Ive had 2 very knowledgeable people take a look at this problem and both seem to be stumped.
When I click on the chat tab, the chat will Load, then Connect but it will not show my name in the members list... it doesnt allow me to type in the text area to send a message... I cant do anything.
Everything seems to work fine if I go in as Admin. Ive used a friends account to log in as a regular member and it does the same.
Someone... please help?

First thing you will want to check into is the RMS server you're connecting to. The chat room for 7.0.4 will require the 7.0.4 version of the RMS server. I am not saying that is the problem, but if the version is not correct there will be problems.
So find out from your host what version of RMS they are running.

this sounds like a cache issue, i would uncheck the RMS in chat settings, click save, click clear all cache's log out of the website, clear the browser cache, close all open browsers, then log in go to admin and check the RMS click save, then go into chat the normal way.
it might be caching a login session cookie, so might be worth clearing all site login sessions too

When I did that beta install for you, the chat worked.
I see you have modified the beta site, did you perhaps do the same module again that took out the chat on snatfu.com?

Also I note that when I installed this .4 for you the chat room was not "skinned" now it is... I'm telling you this is the problem dude..

Deano - I just contacted Arvixe and they are running 7.0.4
sammie - I will do what you have suggested just to be sure the cache is completely clear

Even with that installed, and still using Deano's skin... the chat on the Beta site works just fine. So the question remains... why would the chat on the regular site still not work? Its not skinned at all.
