Chat Feature one on one?

I am sure it is something I missed somewhere but where is the link to the chat feature that use to be one on one between people?

Well.... technically you can.. If you click a person's name in the main chat room and click Private, it will send you to a separate room (indicated by a separate tab) and a notification to the other person inviting them there.

Nothing to see here

I think he is asking about the simple messenger.  The little one-on-one chat that opens up on the member's menu bar.  You first have to install the module of course.  Then each member can disable this in their profile edit page.  It may be set off by default for each member.  You can initiate the chat by going to their profile page and enter some text in the chat input in actions; if the member has it enabled; or you can do it by the pop-up when hovering over the member's avatar.

true, forgot about that one; but so many features is always so confusing, till this day, members do not "get" how to use the chat(s) we have.

Indeed I am talking about the simple messenger that acts like a baby chat feature between members or really one on one!  It was in the action block on prior versions where you could foster and quick and intimate chat between 2 people that opens in the bottom activity bar or wherever you place the bar in the admin section!  I have installed this module but see no way to use it can someone point me to the way to use it?  It is a very cool feature indeed! Is there a block or something?

The chat will only appear in the actions block if it is enabled by the member.  Perhaps when this installs it sets to disable by default in a member's profile.  I am not sure.  Go to your profile edit page and see if it is disabled for you; there is a block added for this.  If it is disabled by default, then you could run a sql query to change it for all profiles to enable.

Well it has never been disabled by default before.  I will check the edit profile but have never seen it setup as thought!

Maybe I will uninstall and reinstall to see if that does anything?

I had the same issue when I made some changes.  Then I realized that it is only available if both users (trying to chat) are online at the same time. Cool
