Change default country to PH

Hi Guys,

I noticed that when a new member joins, default country is U.S. How do I change this to something else?

reported by error. I also would like to know something bout country. My site is only for one country - how to remove country field at all ?

This is what I did, but may not be the best or only method:

Remove the countries in predefined values in admin panel, leaving the country you want.

/administration/preValues.php?list=Country

These are stored in the database

 
For Dolphin 7.1. Go to admin->Settings->Advanced Settings. In the General section you will find the Default Country. Change US to PH

 You can just drag the country field to the inactive area in the fields builder. (Do not Delete)

Then go to admin->Settings->Advanced Settings. In the General section you will find the Default Country. Change US to the country you want to be the Default.

Without the country selector in the join form or profile edit areas the country will be set to the default you set and no one can change it.

 I have done all that but it still sets it to US?

Any ideas why?
