Cannot switch Upload Video/Phot optios

I cannot switch the photo/video upload options from the flash option to regular,shoot or embed just continues to display the rotating icon see screenshot image attached..... Please tell me what problem may be and how to fix it  thank you.....

I have the same problem with 7.1.2.  In another locked thread AlexT's post said to change the allowed file size in the admin panel for videos and sounds but I do not see anywhere in either module to change such a setting. My cron job is set up correctly but the regular uploader just freezes and locks up causes firefox a small period of unresponsive time when I try to use it.  I'll stick with the embed until I figure this out. If I find anything I'll let you know.

So far all I know is to make sure the file size you want to upload is possible but I do not see such a value in the admin panel. Then make sure your cron job is correct ***** <-- cron
