Which module? It is possible, but SashaE is right - there are many places you need to make changes as some have heavy hooks.

I have successfully recreated the groups module multiple times with many different names, I used the free Clubs module available in the market here as reference.

Other modules may be more difficult.

I wanted to recreate the ads module. The reason being that the search feature is limited so i wanted to have a new renamed ads module for each category to make it easier for searching.

Or the other thing can be to add more options to the search but i think the search works for the whole site and not just the ads so therefore it will bring up mixed results. I cannot find a way withing the administration to add extra search fields to the search.

I have found a few modules but they dont have advanced search functions and i believe this is really important, i dont want visitors to get fed up trying to find exactly what they want. I want it to be as simple as possible.

Any ideas, suggestions or mods that can help would be appreciated?

Thanks

M

You'd be doing yourself a favor by picking up modzzz's classifieds mod. I had the same issue with ads and couldn't get it to work to my likings. I don't recommend recreating the module for each category, it could get a bit cumbersome.

Check it out here, worth every penny!
