Can I add Sub-Folders under Files or Photos

Good day,

I have been trying to create sub-folder under files or sub-album under photos but I could not.  Is there a way to do this or a Mod that would allow me to do this.

I would like something like:

PHOTOS
         2010
             Jan
             Feb
             March
         2011
             Jan
             Feb
             March
         2013
              Jan
              Feb
              March

So I would have either a photo album or directory with sub albums or sub directories for each of the years and then a sub-directory for each of the months,  etc....

Any clue on this would be appreciated

I have not seen anything like this. 

This would be a special request modification of the way Dolphin albums work.  What would be needed is a "bookcase" approach to the albums.  For example, you would have a bookcase for Photos.  In your example, each shelf in the bookcase would be a year; the shelf would hold each album for the year.  This could certainly be done.  The album part of Dolphin would stay the same.  What would need to be added is the creation of the bookcases; a Photos bookcase, and the shelves in that bookcase.  Albums would need to have addition information added to indicate which Bookcase they are in and which shelf they are on.  This is certainly a doable modification if a developer would want to take it on.

I see the applications for this.  I have a Holiday Photos bookcase.  On the 2011 year shelf in that case I have photo albums for Caribbean Trip, Australia Trip, and so forth.  I can also see where this would be a lot better for a Photography social network.  I hope someone takes on this project, it could help with organisation of content.

I am going to bump this back up because this is a really good idea for albums and I don't see why it would be that hard of a mod to create.

by default if you don't create your own album name one will be created with the current time stamp.  I suppose you could create a new album each month without naming it yourself..

Then throughout the month select the time stamp folder for that month to upload content to...  

Or you could create folder names like 2014 - January, 2014 - February, 2014 -  March...   and so on. Again upload to the right folder during that month each time you upload something....
