 HI, I love the dolphin! But having problems trying to figure out how to do something. I want to have an admin fixed set of categories for the blogs. So when one writes a blog entry they have to select one of the fixed categories. Instead of making their own. Then if they make that post public I want it to also show up on a community page that lists all blog posts in that category. I've looked around but can't seem to find a solution. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Ken |

I guess what I'm looking for is the drilldown that I see on a number of sites. It is used here too! Is it an extension? It seems to be the same format where ever I see it. I could really use some guidence!!! |
Unity is a modified version of Dolphin with it's own template applied to it. In order to obtain what your requesting is going to require a fair amount of coding and is simply to large of a request for the forum to handle, in addition it is a customization and as such those get listed in the Jobs section.
Now if you would like to attempt to code it yourself, you can go to blogs.php take a look at the code that is there and begin to rewrite it, if you get hung up someone may be able to help you out with a small solution, but this is not a forum item to be discussed. If you don't know how to code yourself, please post a request in Jobs and someone there will probably be more than happy to help you. |
