Avatar Bug 7.0.4 Display Wrong

I have a problem with the Avatar display on my site - starlitedating.com/index.php [ need that as it isn't launched yet ].

The avatar displays OK, but directly above each one you see       _Attached_      and this shows on all the inner pages as well, and interferes with some of the text on those pages.  I can't get rid of it, and I've cleared the cache, recompiled the language - now what??

I think you don't  make the full uninstall of greeting module from eSASe :). Read the readme file again

I think more info is needed.

Is that a fresh install?

Did you add a module, or change a file?

yes, I did add a module - Modzzz Credits module- which required pasting code in some of the files at various points.  It was a complicated process.  I'll double check to see if I made and error.  Thanks for the tip.

It definitely did not come with the standard Dolphin distribution.

Therefore, this thread has no business being in a bug report forum.

Thanks Sasha, I'll double check that also if I still have that readme file.  I deleted the files you sent and emptied my recycle, so I'll have to search for it.  Maybe you can give it to me here?   However, I don't think the problem was there after I uninstalled your module, but who knows.  somethings just sneak in there.

1. Delete  the following files "thumbnail_couple.html" and "thumbnail_single.html" from templates/tmpl_uni

2. Clear all caches

Well, since I spent around $1000 on aeDating software before Boonex took it over, and most of the features in that script are now "Purchased Modules", I guess I'll try to find help WHERE I CAN - I think I've paid enough and still don't have a site up.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, take into consideration, that unless you can ATTACH IT to a 3rd party application, IT IS A BUG UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE!

We're just saying that  this particular forum is for reporting bugs in the Dolphin 7 distribution package... not third party extensions.  It is clear that a  third party extension, or remnants thereof, is causing this issue.

I don't know that for sure. I'm trying to find out.

The problems I'm having with Video uploads are not a problem with 3rd party apps, it is an issue with not recognizing the RMS that my IP put on the server, and the problem persists with that too.

If I was a programmer, I would write my own, but I'm not, so where else would I go to get some assistance?  I've invested a lot in this, and still don't have it up yet because of some of the nagging issues, and the total lack of proper documentation on what some of the terminology means, and explanations on how to modify it all.

If you know of an operators manual, please let me know so I can read it.

Thanks

can't you guys just try to help him instead of worrying where he posted this, yes it is in the wrong place.. we see that.

Kelmed if you want help instead of bickering, re post this under the module creators forum, if they created one, or make a new one under general or ask a moderator where to "put" it.

EDIT: I thought Mag would have moved this or told you right off where to post...

Thanks Newton, I'll try that.  I didn't even consider it was a bug caused by a 3rd party app, so I assumed this was the place to go.  Sorry about the toes, but don't assume people automatically know things.  If they did, they wouldn't even need to come here.

Cheers,

thumbnail_couple.html is still in your templates/tmpl_uni directory.  Both files are still in your templates/tmpl_dt_nightlife_purple directory

Yes, you are correct.  I took them out of the default template directory. Didn't think to look in THAT directory, and as usual, directions are rather skimpy. Remember, I'm NOT a programmer, just a guy trying to get this working.

I've given the particulars to Sasha, so now it will get done properly I hope.

Thanks again for all your help!!

Now all you have to do it clear your cache directory.  Delete all files except .htaccess from /cache directory, and the __attached__ text will disappear.
