Auto-Mute not working for Splash Page Video :(

Dear Dolphin geniuses...  I have managed to add a video on my homepage and get rid of that default image of the pink, green and yellow squares on the white background. I uploaded it in HTML5 format for maximum compatibility and it works great - I have the autoplay, loop, mute and controls all activated. They all work - except AUTO-MUTE!! WTH??

I am using Safari, but have also tried it with Torch, Internet Explorer and Firefox. I'm aware of the issues with Firefox & HTML5, but why would the MUTE not be working on any browsers??  When I go into Admin > Settings > Basic Settings and UNcheck the (Enable HTML Editor) box... I can see the code and I see the code is present for the mute...

"src="http://bak2blak.net/members_only/numu/numu_video.mp4" autoplay="autoplay" loop="loop" muted="muted" preload="metadata" controls="controls">

But it still loads up at full volume.  Please help! I need it to load - silently - until someone unmutes it.
Thank you
