Hi people! Someone use ArrowChat (see here) with dolphin 7?

i have comet chat installed on viptopia,, it is the same thing basically

From what I could figure out, Arrow Chat is an older version of Comet Chat.

RAy Chat that was included with Dolphin was the best already, why bother spending money on 3rd party chat software? What's the advantage of those 1000s of dollars software ?

I know many many people will disagree with this statement!   I found Rayz Chat hell to begin with however I have had a lot of changes done to the way it works and the stability so I am better off with Rayz chat theses days ...

Some people are not able to make Rays Chat work at all ... I have managed to set-up four totally independent Rayz Chats working together without any issues whatsoever giving totally separate chat rooms / services on one site.

Some other chat services are a lot better in many ways BUT I am actually glad I had patience to stick with Rayz Chat rather than wasting $1000's on other services and licenses so Rayz chat can be Good if optimized right.

 Yes, Ray Chat was one of the reasons I stick with Dolphin. You just need to spend some time to configure it right. You have to spend 1000s of dollars for the software that has almost the same functions. 

Problem with Rayz chat is it doesnt work on iphones. Flash.

the problem is that I need a good Instant Messanger and the IM integrated in Dolphin had no sense!!! A user must to go to another user profile to start a conversation...this is not good for users.

Hummm, believe it or not ... I have users that enter and use Rayz Chat from there android phones and other devices without issue .. they cannot use cams with phones BUT they do happily enter and chat away. I also have users that say if they cannot get chat to work using phones BUT most users do just fine using their phone web browser etc.

I don't really understand your problem .... Dolphin IM works by visiting users profile or by hovering over avatar etc and doing it that way agreed BUT other IM services I don't think are as flexible .... By this I mean that you still have to add / know the user's email you want to chat with and have them accept to IM chat like with MSN or Yahoo

same with FB IM service ... you can only do it with your friends ...

OK, once you added them and they accept you can chat whenever they are online ... but I still think Dolphin version is more flexible in that respect that you can literally talk with anyone online and don't necessarily have to visit their profiles.

I have purchase some of Rayz chat modules and I am happy with them; he even modified one of them for me free of charge.  They provide the basic function of a chat room.  I am quite happy with the main Boonex chat module except for that bloody double posting bug; and that shows up on different sites on different servers.  The double posting bug is the red-headed stepchild that no one wants to acknowledge.  While the double posting bug is a not a chat killer, it is very annoying and I would really like to see it gone.

android - yes, iphone - no.

considering half of internet use is mobile, and roughly half of that is on apple devices, rayz chat is limiting its use by roughly 25% of internet users... not a great %!

Looking at the demo for cometchat, it only show access to chat rooms from the bottom bar(footer), can you set it so you can access chat rooms from the top nav menu?

I use a responsive template for my site, focusing on heavy mobile use. Would need the link on the top menu otherwise it gets easily overlooked!

also there is no facebook chat integration with the actual dolphin footer tab chat... i check on the market and dont see it... so thats why i think about buy arrowchat... i want a 100% facebook integration
