Androip App/iOs for Prime licenses

Hi Guys!

I have 2 prime licences and I want to use one for Android and another one for iOs application. Is there a tutorial somewhere how to go about this? I want users to be able to download an Android or iOs app from their respective marketplace with my "branding" on it, instead of displaying that dolphin icon. Any tutorial links will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

Wait a minute, I thought that a single license covered both of the apps.  So you mean to tell me that you need a single license per app?

I believe you have standard permanent dolphin licenses.

The Apps did not exist 5 years ago, so i don't believe Prime existed 5 years ago either. So i don't think either of those licenses qualify for the App source.

I have a permanent license for dolphin as well, and i cannot get the apps. You better send a message to uno@boonex.com and ask Andrew about it. I don't believe your licenses are prime and thus do not qualify for the app source.

If you had a actual prime license the Prime section in your account http://www.boonex.com/id/prime should be available. If not then you do not have a prime license.

 Hi Deano,

Some big guns up there issued me (just today) Premium membership to my account and so I should be able to use Dolphin licenses as Mobile Licenses as well - they're interchangeable numbers anyway.

@samdel17 the statement:

"so I should be able to use Dolphin licenses as Mobile Licenses as well - they're interchangeable numbers anyway. "

This is not true. There are 2 different licenses so I will explain each one. Go to your BoonEx account and click Licenses.

Dolphin Software License - These licenses are BLUE in color and labeled 'Permanent License'. These are ONLY for the Dolphin software. You enter this license within the admin panel of your website.

Dolphin Mobile License - The licenses are BLACK in color and labeled 'Mobile'. These are ONLY for the Android and iOS mobile apps. In order to 'register' these license, you must click the license and enter the Google Play and/or iTunes URL where your mobile app can be downloaded.

So if you wanted to customize your mobile apps to fit your site:

Click the license, download the source files for the specified OS, customize, then once complete upload it to the appropriate stores. There is a 1 time developer fee of $25 for a Android developer license and a yearly fee of $99 for iOS developer license (these prices may have changed since I done it). Once upload and approved, you should be able to go to iTunes and/or Google Play on your PC, find your app and copy the links to add to the Mobile license for registration.

Thanks for the general direction bout how to get started with mobile version of the site.

I do remember reading a post where ANDREW said they were interchangeable as well.  I will dig it up in a second, but first, back to my original question, "Do you have to have a single license per app".  Or does 1 license cover both?

I understood it to be if you purchased a Prime License you could have access to the source codes of  both the Android App and IOS app. The license should be usable for both. Here is a quote:

"Source code of both Android and iOS Apps for Dolphin can be downloaded, re-branded and submitted to iTunes and Google Play under your own name if you have a Prime license."

It does not say one or the other, but not both.

Maybe this will help clarify things:

Prime is counted as a 2-license order. More details about prices and orders can be found in this clarification post.

Within that link above you will see this:

Prime includes:

- All BoonEx Dolphin modules (36 now)
- No "Powered by" links / banners
- Lifetime version updates (including Dolphin 8, Dolphin 9, etc.)
- Advanced BoonEx Membership (permanent)
- Premium BoonEx Membership (permanent)
- Discounts at BoonEx Market
- Mobile apps license (permission to modify, rebrand and publish iOS and Android apps as your own)
- Installation service

I would think that if 'Prime' consisted of a singe license that could be used for Dolphin AND Mobile, they wouldn't have listed a separate one in the package details.

Yes, Zarcon, you are correct to say that you must have a license for the, let's call it, traditional site. I believe, what is in question is do you need two mobile licenses to have a android app AND a iOS app. I believe the answer is that one mobile license entitles you to the ability to brand both apps. I have already downloaded the source codes to both apps with only one license, but I have not started branding or submitted it for approval or activated the license yet.  My guess, from the wording, is that you can activate both apps with the one key. Now if someone has activated both apps, they can put the nail in the coffin on this subject.

That is correct. 1 mobile license is good for both Android and iOS apps (per domain of course).

 Hello!

I do have 2 extra licenses. I'm not aware that you can use both license for iOs/Android, I was under the impression that you need a license for each platform.

I wonder if having a "Premium" membership automatically assume you have "prime" licenses?

Quote · 13 Jul 2013

That would be no.  At one point, Premium memberships could be purchased yearly as a upgrade. Now it looks like it could be purchased separately for a one time fee. So a Free account license and Standard license could have a Premium membership. Take a look here.

Samdel 17,

I need clarification. You keep on saying you have two licenses.  You keep saying they are Prime.  Having Prime licenses does not mean you have mobile licenses.  When you click on your account, then click licenses does it say there that you have a Prime and mobile license or does it say you have Prime and another Prime. If it does not say mobile you have no license for the mobile apps. You can purchase one separately. If it says Prime and Mobile then you can have one website and both Android and iOS apps made. Hope that helps.

Hi! I'm looking at http://www.boonex.com/market/licenses and I have 3 licenses. All of them says "Permanent" licenses (with 2 unused licenses which I have no plan to utilize). I was hoping I could download the mobile apps as well when somebody told me he just "issued the Premium membership to your account and your can use your Dolphin licenses as Mobile Licenses as well - they're interchangeable numbers". Well looks like I missed something then..
