Dolphin uses the email address as a login method, so no. BoonEx Certified Host: Zarconia.net - Fully Supported Shared and Dedicated for Dolphin |
OK that makes sense. The problem is that I'm using modzzz "Sub Profile" mod to customize a Parent/Child scenario and most kids don't have their own email address. And if a Parent has 3 kids - they will need a total of 4 email addresses. :( |
Each email is unique also because the site sends out notices and such to members so I think the email system would get tripped up. In your case I am guessing you don't want the kids to get emails in the first place. However, we would not want a lot of bounced emails either. How does the sub-profile module work? Would it be possible to code it so that it leaves the email blank? What is the scenario here? Geeks, making the world a better place |
You are right, I'm sure things would get messed up! You create a profile and then you are allowed to create "sub-profiles" (same join form) that you can access/edit while logged in as the main profile. For me the reason needed is for a Parent/Child site. Modzzz has confirmed that he will customize his mod for me so that all users in each Parent/Child group will share the same email address. My fingers are crossed!! |
