Album View

OK, this one is really retarded, and I hope someone can help me out. First - if you click on an album, the url i get on my site is g like this:

http://mytherapysession.com/mtsdemo/m/videos/browse/album/Abuse/owner/admin

Because I did not want to show the /owner/admin part, I set my links without it and the videos in the album show up properly. But without the /owner/admin portion, any new blocks I put on the album page do not show up. Is there a way to get the blocks to show up without the /owner/admin or am I just stuck with using the /owner/admin in the url? (in my case I only have one person who is able to upload videos and it is the admin, noone else is able to upload videos)

Hello!

Well, owner/[owner_name] indicates that this is page for special album viewing mode. Additional parameters are necessary for exact identification of album for view / approval, because system allows similar names of albums from different viewers. So if u have ability to upload videos only for admin then it's possible to do modification which will use browse/album/album_name only for admin.

An alternative way would be to use 'groups' instead of albums, then place the relevant videos into those groups.

You can set permissions on the group so only you can post videos if thats the permissions you want.

This way, in your case if someone want to view videos on a certain type of counselling, they go to that group.

The group 'owner/admin' is not referenced in the URL so far as I can see...

There are addons for groups also that extend their functions, Modzzz premium Groups includes things like news, blogs, events etc...

AndrewP also has a range of group addons all individually such as blogs, news, group photo album, schedular, timeline etc..

This would be a tidier way to display things I think for your site, as you can place all sorts of specific info/content inside each group relevant to those videos whereas with video mod they all get thrown in together with only 'categories' to filter them.

Other than that, I dont think you can remove the owner link in URL if you use video modules, not without lots of custom code which would prob mess up any future updates you do!
