After upgrade, all members show as "__nickName__"

I upgraded from 7.0.9 to 7.1.2 and everything works fine except for one thing; the listed members show as "__nickName__" with a broken photo icon (see attached example)

The photos are there and the individual profiles look fine and the avatar and photos show.

Any ideas how to fix?

 Clear your browser cache, use a different browser to access the site.

Happen to me last night taking a site from .9 to 7.1.2, exactly as you describe.

If you know how, manually clean the three cache folders, leaving the .htaccess, yourself via FTP or the like.

Recompile the modules languages twice as the last step noted, I missed it.

TIP: for those that apply an upgrade/patch, when you get the results page, leave it there and open a new tab or new browser window to do the work in the Admin area...

  I did all the above and still have the same problem.

 I too noticed the problem still existed, in the admin menu.

The client had the WAP module installed, the instructions were to add two files in the template UNI folder.

"thumbnail_couple.html"

"thumbnail_single.html"

Removed the two files and the site is fine now. Of course the WAP module was removed before upgrade/patch but the two files were over looked.

just a small thought - i noticed you said __nickName__ - shouldnt it be __NickName__   ? Would changing that in the module fix the problem?
