Admin notes area

Hello everyone.

i dont know if it has already been done or if it is possible

I would like to have an Admin only visible Text box on the members Edit profile page where we can make notes on account details and dealings with the member .

so all staff can keep track of what activities and soloutions we have done for the member.

sort of like a support ticket private notes section.

is this something that is possible?

There is already a product on the market that does this. See the Global Notes mod at http://www.boonex.com/m/notes-2012-11-04 . It allows you to post private Notes on Profiles, Events etc ...

Paypal email is jeromemingo@gmail.com - http://www.boonex.com/market/posts/modzzz

Thanks modzz but I don't think this is what I'm looking for.

i need a text area in the members edit profile section (admin access ) which only admin can see and make notes in on the edit profile page of that member so we can keep track on conversation and other support we have given - at no time should any members see this information .

its like the notes section of osticket where you can make notes for other support staff with regards to an account .

this would be placed above the manual membership level change and feature member check box in the edit page.

regards

Chris

Yes, you can do this using the profile fields in the admin.  Go to the Builders->Profile Fields.  Click on Edit Profile and then click on Admin so you are looking at the fields that will be visible to admins only when they go to a member's profile edit page.  If you want to make a new section for this, then drag the blue "NEW BLOCK" to the form.  Then under that drag a green "NEW_ITEM" to the form.  Then click on "NEW_ITEM" in the form to edit it and change the system name and change the type to text area and so forth.  That is all, now when an admin goes to the profile edit form, they will see that block and be able to enter text into it and save it.  Regular members will not see the text area when they go to edit their profile.  Be sure you are in the admin view when you add the block.  If you are unsure in following me when I have time I can take some screenshots, but it is fairly easy.

This won't be in a separate block on the page; however, you can simply place it at the top of the profile form.

What I know about Dolphin wouldn't fill a hat.  By the way, I did not test it but it should work the same as adding fields to the join form; only this is for admins only to see.
