Hi, I would like to know if anyone has managed to get google adsense working in Dolphin 7, I want to litter adds on all pages in random areas (max 3 per page), I have managed to get this working on another Dolphin 7 site by using a (paid for) template, I did this by adding the top 'document header' code to the templates _header.php but when I don't use another template and use the base templete that boonex supplies and add it to the header it doesn't show up on the site, even when I right click and view the source of the site... it's look boonex strips it out or something.
Once I have the the document header code in the template and it is on every page, I can then just put in the per add 'document body' code into page blocks on each of the pages where I want them and wholla.. it starts working, so the key is getting the top code onto everypage somehow! between the </style> and </head> tags.
Any advise would be appreciated, thanks

Templates don't have a _header.php file. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
Not an overly helpful response!
You'll find the template http://dolphintemplate.com/angolo-blue-dolphin-7-template/ does have it's own _header.php file, you can also find it being used with the banners working at psoriasissocial.org, view source you will see the top adsense and the specific add code is there.
Thanks

The default Dolphin template does not have a _header.php file, nor do some other add-on templates. Is houstonlively supposed to read your mind? Further, how are people here supposed to provide support for a template that
a.) You haven't identified
b.) Costs money to see the files that are needed to provide support
???????????????
I suggest you contact the theme author and ask them.
If you want a helpful response, it would be benificial to provide as much information as possible in stead of leaving others guessing and then pissing on them for not being psychic.

Thanks the Guy PC.... no mind reading necessary, please read my post again 'but when I don't use another template and use the base templete that boonex supplies and add it to the header it doesn't show up on the site'.
Guys I have simply I asked for assistance on how to set it up, I'm yet to receive anything useful, only what it doesn't have or doesn't do.
Can any one assist me in getting this working with Dolphins Uni template?
Thanks

Use something like this? [EDIT] I put the code in the templates folder that I'm using, if your using several templates; then you will put in each separate _sub_header.html file. Clear your cache.
I have an ad sense for every page with out using banner.

It might help if you posted the code you are adding to your custom templates _header.php file. Every template I've seen, does not have a _header.php file, so your template is somewhat unique. No one here will be able to answer your question about why your code doesn't work in a standard _header.html file, until we see the actual code. There's a big difference in the code syntax between a php file and an html file. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
You can apply Google AdSense in the banner section. |
Thanks Newton27, putting it in the _sub_header.html file worked a treat, I put the code right after the
<bx_include_auto:_header.html />
Line at the top, cleared the cache and reloaded the page and my banners started working.
Really appreciate your help

There never was a _header.php file, was there? The code you say was in that file, is actually in your /templates/tmpl_dt_angolo_blue/_header.html file. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |

The original post still doesn't say what template it is now does it? I read your post and saw that line, it still tells me nothing other than you are using a different template than the default. Without the code to your custom template being provided, we would all either have to be psychic - or just guess as to what your _header.php file contains.....am I right?
If you want assistance, you need to provide as much info as possible. At least as much as is necessary. You didn't do that and you're still blaming everyone else for not doing the impossible for you from the start.
My statement stands.
