Add blog categories to admin menu?

Hi,

I may have missed this setting completely, and I can't see any similar questions in the forums, but does anyone know whether I can add "Categories" to the Admin>Blogs drop down menu?  Categories is already on the default Photos and Videos menus, but doesnt appear on the default Blogs menu.

Any ideas/advice would be much appreciated!!

Thanks,

Tom.

When you installed the Blog module, it should have installed some default categories.  What do you see when you go to /administration/categories.php; are their listings for Blogs?

Wow, fast response, thanks :-)  Yes, there are listings for blogs, photos and videos, as per the modules I installed.

I've just noticed that boonex's dolphin demo has the same menu layout, with "categories" in just about every drop-down menu, EXCEPT for blogs.  Seems strange, seeing as blogs do have categories too!  Surely there must be a way to add this? :-/

To make sure we are on the same page; where do you mean?  Do you mean searching blog categories?  I was thinking that you meant when creating a blog post, there was no list in the category drop down box.

There are a few missing dropdown selections actually. But if you want to add dropdown options in the nevigation menu links, just add them using the Builders - Navigation Menu. Drag a New Item to whereever you want it to be, and then fill in the fields for name, url and such.

Sorry for any confusion geek_girl, I'm an amateur in a specialist world here!  I think ProfessorSr has the answer.  I will give that a try!!

Thanks to you both,

Tom.
