7.1.4 new install does not show language in admin

I've installed 7.1.4. However, the admin panel does not show compiled language. All my links are in the same format such as: _adm_page_cpt_dashboard, _adm_page_cpt_lang_file,  etc.I tried to complile languages in admin settings, but with no result.

Also, in the page where modules are installed, under the heading NOT INSTALLED MODULES, I have a list of identical titles: _adm_txt_modules_title_module. Shoudn't the names of these strings have different names at least? This brings a worry.

Can somebody suggest how to get default English language to be displayed in admin? Or suggest if a mistake may have made somewhere during installation?

In language setting for example I see the following strings instead of words. When I enter any of these strings in the search engine, no results are coming up.

It seems like there is a partial translation missing within language somewhere, though I've uploaded new version from boonex site and installed it from scratch.

At the moment I see partial strings both in Front and Back end. Can anybody suggest how to get the words to appear as they should be?

Make sure all of the permissions are set correctly as outlined in the detailed installation that can be found by clicking on HELP above.

I've checked the permissions. They are correct.

The language file is just incomplete.

Where can I download the complete language file for 7.1.4 version?

It sounds more like you need to compile the language more than having a 'incomplete' language file.

So you are saying that you have went to the Admin Panel, Clicked 'Settings' on the left (try to navigate the best you can since your language is messed up). Then click 'Language Settings'

Ok, so from here it may be difficult to see, but look for a link called 'Languages'. It may look like this if its meesed up  _adm_txt_langs_languages

Click that and there you should see the default language. Put a checkmark in the box next to it (or click select all if you have no other language installed) and click Compile. Once you click compile, you may need to refresh the page.

Nothing to see here

Thanks, but that's the first thing I've done.

I've compiled the default English language couple of times.

However, when I open the language file there are many strings missing.

Any other suggestions?

My guess is a error occurred during install.

You have not mentioned it, but did you get any errors during any part of the install process? Such as cannot apply localization.

There really is no way to fix this other than to wipe it out and try the install again. Which should have been a given. These kinds of issues do not exist on new installs unless something went wrong or attempts to install on a hosting account that is not up to the power needed for dolphin.

I suggest when you get to the next to the last step where is says to reverse permissions, skip that, and do it when you reach the part that tells you to remove the install folder.

And pay close attention to errors that occur during install, and if your trying to install this on a ity-bity low powered shared server then database overload problems are another thing that have been know to cause these issues.

So as to check whether the installation was indeed successful completed, can somebody tell me what is the total number of bytes and tables that should be in MySQL at the end of new installation of 7.1.4?

My server guys are saying that the problem I have described above has nothing to do with installation.  As a reference, we have Apache, Unix, dedicated server. Previous versions of Boonex have been installed successfully without any errors. However, we have re- installed Dolphin 7.1.4 several times. The problem remains the same.

Boonex CMS puts the language of localization as Russian in its settings, yet it does not copy the language file into language directory.

Can Boonex or somebody else offer a viable solution?

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
